Energetic and vividly colorful, his works are inspired by the simple and natural movement of the human form. Creating with energetic rhythm, using such medium as recycled latex house paint, GENE's riveting images describe not only the motion of the body, but also the movement of intangible things: wind and atmosphere, energy and music. His knowledge of ancient calligraphy and traditional animation is apparent in the fluid line-work and ephemeral nature of his images. Working intuitively and spontaneously, GENE allows the painting to form itself as he seeks to portray the "human spirit at play."
Daughter of local artist and jeweler, Frank Molnar, Miré Molnar-Barton has always been surrounded by art, sustainability and creativity. Her upbringing taught her to connect the dots between social commentary, art, function and nature. This philosophy is at the forefront of her jewelry design collaboration work with her father as well as her current production project, 'NEWburbia' - a reality show about building a regenerative house in the suburbs (newburbia.com).
